In-Processing
I was here for a week, in-processing. This is when you get all your paperwork squared away. You go to finance, housing, immunizations, your company, records, dental, hearing, ID cards, and a bunch more. When you go overseas, you have more to do. We had a couple days of briefings regarding Korean customs and courtesies. We learned a couple necessary words in Korean (Hello, Thankyou, Please take me to the _______, etc) We learned the basic exchange rate from US Dollars to Korean Won. Then we went off post to the Korean War Museum. I saw a lot of the buses had bars on their windows because riots are common here! At the muesum, we found that Korea has been attacked over 900 times! Makes you glad that America fights the majority of their wars overseas!!!
